If you're someone who knows me then none of this will be a surprise to you :-) if you're someone that doesn't know me this sums up me really quick! I decided to start a blog for my crafty creations. Papercrafting, outside of my amazing son and husband, has been what's kept me going the last year during my struggle with chronic pain. Noah, Scott, and papercrafting... the big three in my life. I'm sure I'll talk plenty about myself as I post but here's the basics and one of my first (and most favorite) cards I've created with one of my addictions; Lawn Fawn.
1- I'm am me; far from perfect and like much of my art, a work in progress.
2- I have two people in my world who are my world- my husband and my son. Without them, I would be nothing. I also have four angels that watch over me because they were too good for this Earth.
3- I have spinal issues from a bad car accident that have forever changed my life. While it's really easy for me to dwell on the hardships that I encounter day-to-day, it has also changed me for the better in some ways. I take the time to be grateful for the little things and don't get caught up in the Whirlwind of life as often.
4- While God and I are having some significant issues right now, primarily because I don't understand his plan for me, I know he is there and that somehow someday things will be happy again.
5- Last, it's taken me a while to actually realize that what I create is art. Much thanks to my amazingly supportive husband Scott. He supports me emotionally and financially- not only does he not say no to the new stamp and die set I have to have, he bought me my Vagabond 2 and shows off my creations proudly! Next is my son Noah- there hasn't been a single card yet but I have given him that he hasn't been excited about or wanted to put in his mailbox :-) And I wouldn't have gained the courage or talent to start putting myself and my art out there if it weren't for two of my dear friends, Pam Duncan and Kim Chong. Throughout our friendships, they have been my cheerleaders, my sounding boards, my critics and admirers, and the people who help me wipe my tears and get back on my feet.
This is one of my first creations; the one that made me realize I might have some talent. The stamps and coordinating dies are from lawn fawn and I made the background with distress inks.
